The children of spring are sprouting everywhere and what a joy it is to be in their company this time of year.

San Diego by the Bay
Small in comparison to the other City by the Bay, San Diego is blessed with plenty of sunshine and mild weather throughout the year.
Right of Way
If you can't stop, I will wait for you. It's the least I can do. This behemoth of a ship came quickly into and out of frame. The light meter pinged in protest as I set up the camera for photos.
City Hall
The second tallest masonry building in the world, it is gorgeous in person as well as in print, and it is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Due the slight tint, this photo will be printed on metallic rather than true black-and-white paper to preserve its subtle color.
Morro Bay
It's a quaint little seaside town on the picturesque Central Coast of California, half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles, give or take 30 miles.
Giving Tree
A piece of the San Simeon, California, sunset, the "Giving Tree" looks gorgeous on metallic paper either as a 4x6" on the desk, or a 12x18" on the wall.
Girl Next Door
Southern California is in bloom and the white beauties that are my neighbors dazzle in white.
Ritual
What is rather ritualistic is actually my first fun on most days, making coffee. I particularly like the week-end, when I actually have time to savor my cup-of-jo rather than gulping it down. Here's to all the week-ends of the world, cheers!
Fly Navy
It was sometime after new year when I noticed blue lights coming from across the bay. I hadn't seen these lights before. For a few days, I thought the additional lighting was because a carrier was not there. On a random night when I was taking evening photos of downtown from Harbor Island, I found out the Navy had installed a new lighted sign.
But of-course, the Navy has a long history here. Back in the day of "Top Gun", "Fightertown USA" was just 10 minutes away in Miramar. Even today, San Diego is home to the US Pacific Fleet. The Navy SEALs Naval Amphibious Base is based in Coronado and Anti Submarine Warfare Command operates right out of Point Loma.
With all the fights we are picking around the world, the Navy probably figures it can use some help recruiting and despite how I feel about our foreign policy, when I see this sign across the bay, I think "good on you. (the Navy)"
