I like the idea of the fence free approach in this part of the country. The yards just go from house to house with no barrier to separate them.
America's Cup San Diego 2011.11
The America's Cup stop in San Diego (http://www.americascup.com/sandiego), scheduled for 11/12 through 11/20, has already started.
We took off toward Seaport Village hoping for a parking spot, but no such luck. The parking lot was full. We ended up settling for a spot on the western end of Harbor Island.
Two o'clocks rolled around. We were hungry. It was around then we determined we were too far from the racing action. Content with the sunny afternoon in the mid 60's, a far cry from the rain from just a couple days before, I snapped a few photos of the America's Cup boats before leaving the area.
It was the 2nd day of the America's Cup. Next week-end would be when the championships will be determine and the action should get hot-and-heavy. I hope to snap a few more photos then.

Poor Man's Noodles
For someone who likes taking photos of food, I can't believe I didn't have a Food Photo set in 2010. It must have been the worst of times.Well here is to changing that in 2011, my first food photo of new year, the Poor Man's Noodles!
I made it with pretty much whatever I found in the fridge that evening, cabbage, tomato, cilantro and Vietnamese pork bologna.
It's a rather humble beginning, but I figure things can only go up from here. Here's looking to the best of times.
